Troubleshooting

  • Check your inverter is ON and generating power.
  • Check your modem is ON and you can access the internet.
  • Reset the inverters Wi-Fi card: To do this simply turn off the Solar Supply Main Switch located in your meter box. Wait 5 minutes and then switch the Solar Supply Main Switch back on. This will restart the Wi-Fi card which may fix the issue in many cases.
  • Check your Wi-Fi signal strength: Stand next to the inverter and using a smart phone check you can pick up your home Wi-Fi signal. If you are some distance from the modem and the signal is weak we recommend either relocating the modem or install a Wi-Fi extender to improve your signal strength at the inverter location.
  • Check the Wi-Fi Password: When your system was installed we connected the inverter to your home Wi-Fi using the network settings provided (Network ID and Password). If you change your password or modem you will need to reconfigure the settings. To do this you need to log into your Fronius inverter’s interface with a smart phone or tablet as per these instructions.
