Solar power is a renewable source of electricity and heat that is derived from the sun. The sun emits energy in the form of solar radiation and technology like solar cells convert the sun’s light into usable energy.

At Omega Solar + Batteries, we’re contributing to the renewable energy ecosystem in Australia by helping you harness this energy and convert it into electricity through installing solar panels on your residential or commercial building. This process gives solar energy the capability to power your home or business and heating both air and water elements.

By adopting the power of the sun, you can reduce your electricity costs, making you less reliant on the grid network and more on an inexhaustible and virtually pollution-free fuel source.

We install solar panels on your roof to produce electricity directly from the sun’s energy.

The panels are connected to an isolating switch which generates direct current (DC) electricity. This is then fed into a solar inverter which converts the DC electricity into alternating current (AC) electricity which can safely power your home.

Once the energy is converted, your home will become the priority for all power produced by your system. If your consumption at home is less than the amount of electricity you produce, the excess is exported to the energy grid network for a nominated feed-in tariff. The grid will continue to feed your home power if your consumption is greater than the energy you produce.

You are still able to enjoy all your normal household activities with a solar system, we just add in the benefit a reduced electricity bill, providing you with a long-term savings.

If it seems complicated, don’t worry. One of our experts will guide you through the process of how solar power works either by phone or a no obligation home consultation.
